Tubi, Fox Corporation’s ad-supported streaming platform, has announced a groundbreaking partnership to broadcast live Liga MX and Liga MX Femenil matches across Mexico and Central America starting in 2025. This move signals a significant shift in regional sports broadcasting by offering free access to premier soccer content, beginning with the highly anticipated match between León and Pachuca on February 5, 2025.

Free Live Soccer Streaming for Millions

Under the partnership, viewers in Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Panama can stream Liga MX matches for free on Tubi. The service will be accessible across web, mobile, and connected TV devices, bringing premium sports content directly to millions of fans without subscription barriers.

David Salmon, EVP and Managing Director of International at Tubi, emphasized the significance of this deal, stating: “By offering these matches completely free to viewers across all major connected TV platforms, we’re breaking down barriers to accessing live sports and delivering exceptional value to our advertising partners.”

León vs. Pachuca: A Must-Watch Opener

The partnership launches with León vs. Pachuca, two of Liga MX’s most celebrated teams. Pachuca, a seven-time Liga MX champion, has a storied legacy in domestic and international tournaments. Meanwhile, León, the 2023 CONCACAF Champions League winner, has cemented its status as a powerhouse in Mexican soccer. It has eight Liga MX titles and a reputation as one of the league’s most successful clubs.

Tubi’s Growing Presence in LatAm

Since entering Mexico in 2020 and expanding to Central America in 2022, Tubi has experienced significant growth in the region. Over the last year, its total viewing time (TVT) in Mexico has increased by over 70% year-over-year. The platform’s library already features a robust collection of Hollywood blockbusters and local telenovelas, and the addition of live Liga MX games is set to solidify its market presence further.

Tubi’s global footprint includes over 81 million monthly active users, and this new sports offering positions the platform as a leader in free, ad-supported streaming for live events.

So, What’s Next?

Fans can look forward to a full schedule of Club León and Club Pachuca matches in the coming weeks. Tubi plans to expand its live sports programming through its FOX Deportes partnership. This deal will deliver value to soccer fans and strengthen Tubi’s appeal to advertisers seeking to reach highly engaged audiences.
