Fresh off its most successful year to date and a new Series D funding round led by Dream Sports, FloSports is now expanding its Connected TV footprint. FloSports has tapped Accedo to bring its app to additional Smart TV platforms, building on a foundation that already includes Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, and Google TV.
The expanded CTV push is part of a larger strategy: reach more fans, deliver a better product, and grow its portfolio of underserved sports.
“Expanding FloSports’ reach on Smart TVs allows us to meet our customers where they are,” said Dave Stelnik, VP of Business Development at FloSports. “With Accedo’s proven track record… it was the obvious choice to support us in bringing FloSports content to millions of new households.”
Accedo, which has deployed more than 30 sports streaming services and specializes in Lightning development, will also provide 24/7 post-launch support. That operational stability becomes increasingly important as FloSports scales its platform and expands its programming slate.
And FloSports has plenty of momentum to build on. In 2024, the company streamed over 40,000 live events across more than 25 sports — including track & field, motorsports, wrestling, hockey, cheer, and college athletics — reaching more than 23 million viewers and driving a 24% bump in social engagement. That growth helped the company double revenue over the past two years and achieve sustained profitability.
This week, FloSports announced the closing of its Series D round led by India-based Dream Sports, with participation from existing backers including Warner Bros. Discovery and Causeway Media Partners. The investment brings total funding to over $100 million and will fuel content acquisitions, product innovation, and distribution — including efforts like this latest Smart TV expansion.
“Dream is the perfect partner for FloSports,” said CEO Mark Floreani. “Their investment and expertise will accelerate our ability to deliver on our mission of growing our sports every day.”
Dream Sports — which owns FanCode and Dream11 — brings global scale, digital know-how, and data-driven fan engagement tools that could further elevate the FloSports experience.
With new capital, new distribution, and strong operating fundamentals, FloSports looks well-positioned to continue its climb as the go-to streaming service for passionate sports communities.
If you’re attending NAB this year, Accedo will be showcasing its work and meeting with partners at booth W3273 (West Hall) from April 5–9.
