Variety reports that Audacy has deepened its partnership with CBS, expanding an exclusive multiyear sales and distribution deal to include 39 additional podcasts from CBS Entertainment, CBS Media Ventures, CBS News, and CBS Studios. The expanded slate includes companion podcasts for 48 Hours, Survivor, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, among others.
Since 2022, Audacy has been CBS Sports’ podcast distribution and ad sales partner. With this expansion, CBS’s entire podcast catalog is now available on the Audacy app and major audio platforms. The deal covers a mix of news, true crime, reality TV, and late-night content, including 60 Minutes, CBS Evening News, Entertainment Tonight, Face the Nation, and The Drew Barrymore Show.
Audacy Chief Digital Officer J.D. Crowley called the expanded collaboration a “compelling slate of premium content” that offers new advertising opportunities. The move comes as Audacy navigates financial restructuring following its Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. The company, which operates more than 230 radio stations, is also searching for a new CEO after the departure of David Field in January.
